Day 1: Arrival
Arrival at the 4* hotel in Parndorf. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Eisenstadt and Burgenland tour
In the morning you drive via the villages on Lake Neusiedl along the north bank to the state capital Eisenstadt. On the way you stop in Purbach , known for its cellar alleys. There you can visit the mountain church, the Jewish quarter and the magnificent Esterhazy Castle. Afterwards, you will walk through the old town with time for an individual lunch snack. Continue to Rust, past the St. Margarethen Roman quarry. From the port of Mörbisch you take a boat trip along the Austro-Hungarian border and through the reed belt back to the port of Mörbisch.
Day 3: Lake Neusiedl
In the morning you drive to Illmitz for a carriage ride in the UNESCO World Heritage Site “National Park Neusiedlersee – Seewinkel”. Afterwards, a small winery snack for lunch is on the agenda. You then drive via the picturesque town of Podersdorf am See to Gols. An exclusive tour of the Szigeti sparkling wine cellar, one of Austria’s leading sparkling wine producers, awaits you there, including a tasting of 3 types of sparkling wine.
Day 4: Hungary & Southern Burgenland
Today you are taking a trip to neighboring Hungary. You will visit the rococo Eszterházy Palace in Fertöd , also known as the “Hungarian Versailles”. Afterwards you drive along the southern shore of Lake Neusiedl with interesting explanations from the guide. In Kophaza you have time for lunch before crossing the border at Deutschkreutz. There you visit the Anton Lehmden Church. On the return journey you will see the Liszt birthplace in Raiding as well as Forchtenstein Castle and Eisenstadt. Dinner awaits you in Purbach in one of the most beautiful cellar alleys in Burgenland.
Day 5: Return home
Breakfast, check-out and journey home.
