When festively decorated cattle, horses, goats and sheep return from one of the most beautiful high pastures in Europe to the local stables, this is a reason to celebrate in Castelrotto and on the Alpe di Siusi. The colourful train is accompanied by the sound of cowbells and the “Goasln” bangs.
The comfortable rooms of the 3* hotels in the Pustertal/Eisacktal area with their side valleys are equipped with TV and telephone and have a bathroom with shower and toilet. Depending on the hotel with free use of the wellness facilities.

In good weather, we recommend a tour of the Dolomites in the Ladin mountains of South Tyrol, this must have experienced if you have made in South Tyrol holiday.
As soon as you return to the hotel, a typical Törggelen menu awaits you, which completes the day perfectly.
Day 3: Visit of the Almabtrieb

This is the starting point of the traditionally decorated animals and companions. At 10.00 am you can already hear the sound of the countless cow bells. In addition, there is a small festival in Kompatsch with alphorn players, goaßlschnöllern, a farmers’ market and the demonstration of old farm craftsmanship.
You haven’t had enough? After the festive procession you have the opportunity to make a stop in Bressanone at the famous bread and strudel market.
So now you drive back to the hotel and enjoy dinner together.
