Royal weekend in Natz
The autumn weekends in South Tyrol are characterized by cattle drives – including in Terento and Rodengo. In Natz, however, everything revolves around the coveted apple, the protagonist of this event week. At the end of the “Sunsite Appleweek” the big apple festival with harvest parade takes place on Sunday. The highlight of the weekend is certainly the coronation of the apple queen of Natz-Schabs.

Day 1: Arrival

Day 2: Brunico - Terento cattle drive
Today’s journey takes you to Brunico, the main town of the Val Pusteria. There you can explore the picturesque Stadtgasse with its colorful facades and cozy shops. Try an ice cream at the modern designed Rathausplatz or enjoy Italian specialties and Tyrolean home cooking. In the brewery “Rienzbräu” you can refresh yourself with a cool beer. Do not fall in love with the city too much, because it goes on: to the cattle drive to Terento or Rodengo. Experience the festival with traditional music, a farmers’ market and delicious food. Don’t miss the parade with over 100 decorated cows and sheep (start around 13.00). In the evening, a traditional Törggele dinner awaits you at the hotel.
Day 3: Apple Festival in Natz
Today is all about the apple. Why is that? Experience this up close today.
The Apple Festival starts at 10:30 am with a special morning drink and entertainment by various brass bands. From 11:00 am you will learn interesting details about the apple. The highlight is the Thanksgiving parade at 14:00 with the reigning apple queen and the candidates. A traditional farmers’ market offers local produce, while the afternoon ends with dancing and music. Dinner is already waiting for you at the hotel.
